Real estate is a service that most people do not have the option of "not using". Although it is the largest spending destination in life for many people, it is a market with many problems to be solved such as transparency / accuracy of information and disparity (asymmetry), and there is enormous room for improvement of convenience by utilizing information technology.
We founded e-Seikatsu in 2000 with the desire to realize a "good life" for everyone involved in the real estate market with the IT services we create. The founding members were originally from investment banks and worked in the financial world and the stock market. It is said that the total market capitalization of Japanese stocks is about 700 trillion yen, but the total real estate assets are over 1,000 trillion yen, and the asset size greatly exceeds the stock market (market capitalization). The real estate market is not only large in asset size but also has a large share of GDP, but the information gap is large, and it seems to us that it is a very inefficient market. The question "Is it okay as it is as a market that handles important assets of the people?" has driven us founding members, not in the financial market where IT has penetrated to some extent, but in the real estate market with the greatest potential. We have decided to create innovation in this field.
Innovation through IT utilization in the real estate market and information technology for real estate transactions has just begun. We are convinced that the digitization of real estate transactions will evolve further in the future, and the era of completing real estate transactions on smartphones will not be long. Real estate companies will also be more productive and end-user consumers will be better served in real estate transactions. With new technologies such as AI and IoT, elements that were difficult to reflect in the conditions for finding a home, such as security and comfort, will be structured as data and will be used for information retrieval to find a better home.

We also believe that as our services spread to the market and the real estate market evolves with data, the various social challenges facing us today will be closer to resolution. As the quality and quantity of data increases, information disparities will decrease and information asymmetry will weaken, new approaches may be possible for many challenges such as oversupply of housing, vacant housing, and decline in the asset value of existing housing.
